Welcome!

I'm just a mom doing my own occupational, physical, and speech therapy with my son.

He has low muscle tone, sensory integration disorder, & anxiety. He is not on any medication or special diet.

My career as a special education teacher (Pre K-3) is on hold to meet the needs of my son.
I get ideas from my experience, the internet, blogs, pintrest,
and the therapists he sees at the early childhood ESD.

My blog is for other moms, parents, and caregivers providing learning and growing
opportunities (special needs or not).

I hope you find it useful.
ENJOY!

My first Post!

I follow so many great homeschool blogs, I was inspired to look for a blog for therapeutic ideas to do with my son.  When I didn't come up with much; I decided to try my own blog about therapy ideas I do with my son in our home.  I hope someone else will find it useful too and maybe I will meet more moms and caregivers with similar needs.

I guess you could say I "homeschool" my son.  He also attends an Early Childhood program two days a week for 2 hours.  He is three and showing interest in learning.  So I'm going to go with his interest and channel into his therapeutic needs (fine motor, gross motor, language, and sensory integration).

I "teach" heavily with themes and make my own activities inspired by other tot homeschooling blogs.  Sorry I will not be posting what I make; but will be linking to my inspirations.  Be sure to check out their blogs, you will find links on the right side bar.
